Pippinfest 2008 will be held Saturday, Sept. 27th & Sunday, Sept. 28th

Fun for the entire family! Saturday features town-wide Yard Sales.  Sunday's features will include: Commercial Vendors, Craft Vendors, Food, Children's Activities,  Quilt Show, Raffles, Antique Tractor Show, and Vintage Car Show.  Don't miss the 28th Annual Pippinfest!
Approximately 200 Commercial & Craft Vendors  will line the Streets and Fields on Sunday.
Saturday: 7AM - 4PM, Sunday: 9AM - 5PM

From Waynesboro, PA
  • Take I-795 North towards Owings Mills.
  • Take Exit 9B and merge onto MD-140 towards Westminster.
  • Continue on MD-140 approximately 34 miles.
  • MD-140 becomes PA-16.
  • Continue on PA-16 approximately 1.5 miles past PA state line.
  • Turn right on PA-116.
  • Continue on PA-116 approximately 3.5 miles into Fairfield.
  • Take I-270 to Frederick, MD.
  • Take US-15 North towards Gettysburg, PA.
  • Stay on US-15 approximately 23 miles.
  • Take Emmitsburg, MD exit. MD-140 North.
  • Continue on MD-140 approximately 2 miles to PA state line.
  • MD-140 becomes PA-16.
  • Continue on PA-16 approximately 1.5 miles past PA state line.
  • Turn right on PA-116.
  • Continue on PA-116 approximately 3.5 miles into Fairfield.
  • Take US-15 North towards Gettysburg, PA.
  • Stay on US-15 approximately 23 miles.
  • Take Emmitsburg, MD exit. MD-140 North.
  • Continue on MD-140 approximately 2 miles to PA state line.
  • MD-140 becomes PA-16.
  • Continue on PA-16 approximately 1.5 miles past PA state line.
  • Turn right on PA-116.
  • Continue on PA-116 approximately 3.5 miles into Fairfield.

 
  • Take US-15 South towards Gettysburg.
  • Continue of US-15 approximately 31 miles.
  • Take US-30 West approximately 2.5 miles.
  • At Lincoln Square (really a circle) take the 3rd exit onto PA-116.
  • At the first light make a right.  This is Middle Street, and also PA-116.
  • Continue West on PA-116 approximately 8.5 miles into Fairfield.
  • Head South on PA-16 approximately 12.5 miles.
  • Turn left on PA-116.
  • Continue on PA-116 approximately 3.5 miles into Fairfield.

Saturday Yard Sale Permits Required

As in years past, Yard Sale Permits are required for Saturday, September 27th, for any Yard Sale held within Fairfield Borough limits.  This is the only time permits are required, and the reason is that this is a town sponsored event, and the town has paid for the advertising and required resources for the event.  Permits are available at the Town Borough Office, or may be purchased Saturday morning.  Someone will be coming around Saturday checking permits and collecting fees. The fee for the Yard Sale permit if $15.
